Review ♥ MAYBELLINE NEW YORK Fit Me! Matte +Poreless Foundation (Classic Ivory)

I have read and watched a lot of good reviews about this Maybelline Fit Me! Matte Poreless Foundation but didn't want to try it way back when because it is mostly cold in Japan and the price is much higher than the other countries. It is also hard to find in drugstores. So I waited till I got to go here in Philippines since the price is lower.

I bought this from Watson, a well-known drugstore in Philippines, for 399 Philippine Peso (tax included). There are also online stores that sell this on discounted price for 299 Philippine Peso (tax included). In Japan, I found that this is available in Amazon for 1,185 Japanese Yen (tax included) which is higher. On their main website it is 7.99 US Dollars.

There are 40 shades of Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Foundation but the available shades here in Philippines are limited the same in Japan. I bought the lightest shade available, Classic Ivory, in the shop that I went.

The product is heavy because of the container. I love foundations with glass containers because you can see the shade and the amount inside so you will know if you have to buy soon.

The cap is made of sturdy plastic. The container has no pump and looks challenging to use. It would be much better if there's an available pump because it is hard to control the amount coming out without it. There will be a lot of waste.

It is stated in the label that this good for those who have normal to oily skin. It also mattifies, refines pores and matches the natural tone.

It is made in U.S.A. You can visit their website at www.maybelline.com.

INGREDIENTS: Water/Eau, Cyclochfexasiloxane, Nylon- 12, Isododecane, Alcohol Denat., Cyclopentasiloxane, Peg-10 Dimethicone, Cetyl Peg/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Peg-20, Polyglyceryl-4 Isostearate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Phenoxyetthanol, Magnesium Sulfate, Disodium Stearoyl Glutamate,  HDI/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Titanium Dioxide, Methylparaben, Acrylates Copolymer, Tocopherol, Butylparaben, Aluminum Hydroxide, Alumina, Silica, Glycerin (+/-MAY CONTAIN: CI 77491/Titanium Dioxide, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499/ Iron Oxides)

The shade Classic Ivory looks lighter on my skin but it is much better than darker.

The consistency is liquidy and I thought that the coverage will be light. It does really mattifies and sets easily. It is very easy to blend even with the fingers.

Here is my bare face after putting on my basic skin care and moisturizer. I didn't use a primer to really see the power of this foundation. I used an air cushion puff to apply this foundation.

The coverage of foundation is much better than I expected. It has a medium coverage and it was able to cover the redness on my face. The dark spots were not fully covered but the foundation has able to lightened it.

With the 2nd layer on, it gave a medium to full coverage. It made my dark spots unnoticeable so I didn't have to put on a concealer anymore. It is buildable and I didn't had any problem applying a second layer.

Since it is humid here in the Philippines, I still needed to set it with the powder. The heat here is super strong. But I think, setting will not be needed in cold places. I still have to try using this in Japan.

I am really satisfied with this foundation. I love the powdery matte finish of it. It sets fast and is really matte. It feels comfortable on the skin and is not heavy. My pores were less noticeable. It is the type of foundation that I can really recommend. I was about to buy again a bottle of a pricey foundation but good thing I tried this one.

After 6 hours, the foundation is still great. I oiled up and I already expected that because the heat here is really strong. I didn't reapply a powder here, I just blotted the oil. The only areas where the foundation got messed up were on the sides of my nose and under the lips. My pores are also noticeable at this time.

♥ UPDATES ♥

As of February 25, 2018

It did much better with a damp egg sponge. It sets quickly and I didn't needed to put a powder on because it was not sticky. It felt as if there was no foundation and it was very comfortable to wear the whole day. With this method, I guess I will use this more often. This is now my favorite foundation.
