Review ♥ HEALTH & BEAUTY AZTEC SECRET Indian healing Clay
There are a lot of good testimonies about this Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay from bloggers and beauty enthusiasts. That made me wanna try this product and see for myself if this facial mask really works.
Believe it or not but the line for this Indian Healing Clay is so long when I went to the store. The day I bought this is also the day when they restock this in their shops. Their is a 1 tub per person policy which is good so many will have the chance to buy this.
I bought this from Healthy Options, a shop inside a mall in Philippines which sells organic and healthy products. A tub of this costs 525 Philippine Pesos (tax included). This is cheap because a tub of this can last for 6 months or more.
Here is their claim and information of the product. This is good for facials, acne bodywraps, clay baths, foot soaks, chilled clay for knee packs, and insect bites. But I will only use this as a facial mask.
DIRECTIONS: Mix clay with equal parts of raw apple cider vinegar and/or water. Use a non-metal bowl and utensil. Stir the mixture well to a smooth paste. Add more clay or liquid as needed. Apply 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch to the face or other area. Let it dry for 5-10 minutes for delicate skin and 15-20 minutes for normal skin. You will feel a pulling and tightening sensation. Feel your face pulsate! Remove clay by washing with warm water. Slight redness of the skin is normal and will disappear in about 30 minutes.
According to them, this is the "world's most powerful facial" and a tub contains 1 pound of clay and makes 10-15 facials.
The clay inside is finely powdered and has a light grey color. There was no scent that came out when I first opened this.
I have prepared too much. 1 spoon should be enough for the whole face. Just remember that 1 spoon of powder should be mixed with 1 spoon of apple cider vinegar. BUT the consistency of this is thick so I added more apple cider.
This is my face looks like before use. Let's see if there will be improvements after several use. It might be noticeable on the picture but there are problems on my face. There are little zits on my forehead that doesn't go away. On my chin, there are unlimited sebaceous filaments that also don't stop producing. On my nose especially on the side of my nose, the are also unlimited sebaceous filaments. My face is also very oily.
The mask I applied was too thick. I have put too much. The scent of the apple cider wasn't that pleasant but it is bearable.
After 20 minutes, the mask is already dry. It's so tight and I can feel my face pulsating at this time.
My face was so red after washing off the mask especially on the place where there are problems. I think this is really working. I can’t see it but I can feel it.
I used lukewarm water to remove it and it still wasn't easy to remove. You will really need patience on this. It is also very messy so I recommend to wash your face on a sink where there it won’t cause clogging. A sink with a strainer would be great.
It feels powdery smooth after but it is also very drying. I haven’t oiled up for a ling time.
It wasn't long enough for the redness to be gone. I sprayed aloe vera mist which I only made and soon put on a moisturizer.
After 1 use, the effects isn't still visible. I will still have to use this several times to see the results.
After the 2nd use, which is 4 days after the 1st use, I can't still see any improvements. Maybe I should use this more often. I will still have to use this several times to see the results.
After the 3rd use, which is 3 days after the 2nd use, I can't still see no results. My face might be too oily for this product to take effect. I will use it more often, every 2 days, because the oiliness of my face is really hard to deal with.
The pulsation that I felt during the 4th application was the most intense yet this was the thinnest among the first 3. It was also kinda painful because I can feel my skin stretching while it get dry.
After the 5th use which 2 days after the 4th use, I noticed that every time I use this product, my tiny zits are drying up little by little. Tiny zits are still showing up but during the use of this product, I didn't have any major breakouts. Honestly, I am also using other skin cares other than this because I believe that this product couldn't stand alone. Toner, essence, and moisturizer are also important while using this.
After the 6th use, I can now feel that my skin is somehow improving. Since the 5th use, no zits have appeared. My skin also became less oily. The other skin cares might also be the cause. This time, I wasn't able to control the amount of the mixture so I have made more than enough. My mother and my sister were able to use the excess. So as of now, 8 masks has been made.
After the 7th use, the 6th use, 2 days after my skin felt super dry. During the night that I applied this, I was thinking if the dryness is a good thing or a bad thing. My face is very oily so I was also thinking that it was good.
The next morning after I applied the 7th mask, zits under my chin and on my forehead came sticking out. They were dry so they were easy to pull out. The sides of my nose are also flaking.
This time I didn't steamed my face. I also didn't used apple cider vinegar because I think that might be the cause for my breakout after the 7th use for my face is acidic. I used water instead but the mixture was less creamy and not easy to apply on the face as with apple cider vinegar. It still has the same sensation but the itchiness is lesser.
After washing off the mask, the 3 scabs on my forehead, which is from the 7th use, were peeled off. The next day, there were no breakouts and my face was calm.
